Expertise
- I design in Photoshop and Illustrator and am familiar with most major graphics packages.
- I write accessible and validated XHTML/CSS code in Homesite, Bbedit or Textmate.
- Commercial experience designing icons, advertising, virals, e-mails, and Flash banners, animations and features.
- Professional experience implementing and customising JavaScript, DHTML and PHP scripts.
- I am equally at home on Mac or PC.
- I have a sound knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- I am confident producing story boards, use cases, wireframes and other pre-concept documentation.
Current work
I am contracting two days per week for Felix Dennis in London designing his online presence, building an online resource for his poetry, photography and press archive and looking after a variety of websites related to his charitable and business interests. Recent projects have included an online ticketing site for his recent ‘Did I Mention The Free Wine?’ Tour.
I am currently accepting work.
A brief history of my employment
For over ten years I’ve worked at a variety of high profile publishers in London. I’ve designed social networks, intranets, online magazines, academic journals, web ap interfaces, vanity sites, advertorials, mini-sites, games, html emails, banners and more for a variety of clients and employers including Dennis Publishing, Newsquest, Osoyou.com, Nature Publishing, Emap and more.
